"Please Hold..."

This post is part apology, part admission of guilt, part thank you! Thank you so much for bearing with me, and reading my blog, especially since I haven't been posting new content for some time. Since starting as a freelance fashion stylist, my schedule is flexible and erratic on a good day to manic and hugely unpredictable on a bad day. Travelling, and unsociable working patterns, means my very good and strong intentions of continuing to post daily about my new shopping finds and fashion loves has proven difficult.

PLEASE BEAR WITH ME...

I have been enjoying some very fun and varied work - gorgeous creative and exciting shoots, TV appearances, weird and wonderful projects as well as celebrity styling - AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU!

Thank you, I'll be posting again soon I promise!

Allow me to Introduce - Girl Meets Dress!!

Girl Meets Dress is an amazing concept website....fashion PR industry veteran Anna set up Girl Meets Dress as  a new way to shop -  basically turning buying into borrowing (or more accurately - hiring). This is the place to come when you need a perfect dress for a one-off situation or special event. The choice is amazing - every designer from Marc Jacobs to YSL to my addiction Carven is available to hire... However, it can quickly prove addictive, especially as they have some of the most aspirational accessories now online! With next day delivery available on most dresses throughout the UK, this is like you're fashionable best friend's wardrobe for you to help yourself to.

Alice Temperley is the brains behind the Temperley London and ALICE fashion lines, who is a celeb Front-Row fave at London Fashion Week.

A classic for your wardrobe - the white shirt

There is a reason why classics will never date, and always look stylish. They range from slim-leg blue jeans, pea-coats, shift dresses, but one of the most versatile is the Classic White Shirt. As you can see above in one of my recent photo shoots, my models shows you how it can look smart, cheeky, playful.

Play with your collar, roll up the sleeves, and get it fitted well so you could tuck it into a pair of trousers or skirt, or tie the ends over swimwear on holiday. Some of my favourite are below....
Beth shirt, £89 Thomas Pink

White self stripe tailored business shirt, now £29.95 Charles Tyrwhitt

Dolman sleeve shirt, £29.95 Gap

Check sheer shirt, £19.99 Mango

Uterque lands on our shores....

Whenever I holiday in Spain, I make a bee-line for the nearest  Uterque store. Part of my beloved Zara group family, it is slightly more accessory-heavy with a love for embellishment. Whenever I wear my pieces of jewellery I get comments on them, and I'm now so pleased I can shop to my heart (and credit cards' delight) online whenever the urge arrives.

My current online favourites include:
Silk midi dress £99.90

Open knit A-line sweater, £64.90

Perspex mid-heel sandals, £79.90
Handkerchief printed silk skirt, £79.90

A hen tea for the pretty crowd...

Yesterday, I threw a bridal shower tea-party for my good friend, and wanted to create a feminine and pretty indulgent day - we had finger sandwiches, mini wraps, followed by the requisite scones, cream and jam and finished with cupcakes from  Primrose Bakery and chocolates.

I decorated the table with lots of candles, white balloons, and white flowers which I displayed in different height vases and (thanks to my husband!) a large mug - decorated with our wedding vows from Big Tomato Company. Why don't you try using different vases, cups and bowls for flowers?

DvF shows the love for younger fans with Gap...

I adore Gap Kids and BabyGap. I buy it by the truck-load for my nephew and newly-born niece. The quality of their fabrics and cute designs make it a safe-bet for gifts and stocking up wardrobes. Together with a new collaboration with the queen of fashion Diane von Furstenberg, Gap is showing the love of bright and bold prints to the younger female generation!

Shoppers LOVE DvF's prints for their kids in bright colours, on opening day
My favourite items show DvF's love for colour and print, and are typical of what is to be found in her runway collections. These are soon to be seen on my new niece....
